Situated in the historic town of Windsor, the Queens favourite castle and her current place of residence. The castle was built nearly 1000 years ago and is located no longer than an hour away from central London. Featured on the grounds of the castle is St. George’s Chapel which is the spiritual home of the order of Garter. St. George’s Chapel has been the venue for the infamous weddings of Prince Charles and Camilla and his son Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s wedding. Further featured inside the Castle is Queen Mary’s dollhouse, it is one of the largest in the world, the 1/12th scale masterpiece was designed by the world- famous architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is a perfect miniature replica of an aristocrat home and even contains taps with running hot and cold water and wine cellar with real wine bottles. In addition, between the months of April and July there is a changing of guard’s ceremony, which sees traditional guards dressed in red tunics and bearskin hats, switching shifts.
